Orchestra’s first Lunchtime Chamber Series concert on April 15, 2015, 1 p.m. at the Memorial Opera House.
Members of the South Shore Orchestra will perform a colorful assortment of South American tango and Middle Eastern music. The “Tango Fusion” program will include music by Piazzolla, Hovhaness, Cirque du Soleil and more. Embracing the “fusion” theme, the concert will have an interesting twist by featuring exotic instruments such as the Chinese erhu and the EWI (Electronic Wind Instrument) in place of traditional Western orchestral instruments for some of the pieces. “Tango Fusion” is not to be missed!
